RESEARCH CONTRIBUTIONS

As a digital technology governance expert, my research draws on my social science training in anthropology, global governance, and political science. My research broadly focuses on three thematic areas: cyber governance, technology interdependence, and the geopolitics of emerging and disruptive digital technologies.

My research agenda includes examining state interventions in the management of specific digital technologies. For instance, increasing government investment in quantum technologies is often framed as a new form of sovereignty, based on future-forward imaginings of the global commons, the changing roles of actors, and public-private science and technology collaborations among cooperating democratic states.

My productive research agenda is supported through competitive internal and external funding.
